Full Description
A line of World War II anti tank cubes is visible in 1940 extending from Kessingland to the Hundred River outflow (TM 536853 to TM 536845) where it continues in Benacre Parish. The line is part of the beach defences and is associated with a number of semi-circular depressions (probably defensive positions and is intended to stop movement off the beach in an invasion. In 1941, the line has been extended east-west along part of the line of the outflow.(S1-3)
