Full Description

An area of minefield c80m long can be seen on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). In earlier photographs, from 1940, this area is a patch of woodland. By 1941 though, the trees have gone, and the craters created by the minefield can clearly be seen. Traces of the minefield craters can just about be discerned on 1944 aerial photographs (S2), but at this date, the vegetation has started to grow over the area again, somewhat masking the features.
