Full Description
A number of what appear to be World War II anti-tank cubes can be seen in an area of standing water located above the highwater mark on the beach to the south of Shingle Street. It is unclear what the function of the line of cubes would have been in this location. (S1) (S2) A few of the cubes are still visible in 1971. (S3)
Also seen in field survey of Suffolk Coast - tank blocks submerged in pool with marsh behind the beach. Shingle bank accreted in front of pool. Blocks breaking up. S4
