Full Description

Two sections of associated sea bank can be seen as earthworks at the northern edge of Minsmere New Cut on 1945 aerial photographs (S1). The sections of sea bank measure c1.3km and c300m respectively, althought they do extend further west, but photographs of this area were not available for study. The banks are depicted on the OS county 1st series 25" map of c1884, which strongly suggests a post-medieval date for these features

February 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Further areas of these sea banks earthworks are visible on aerial photographs
(S2), however these have not been mapped due to lack of time project scope.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 18th February 2015.
