Full Description
A possible World War II pillbox is visible as a structure on aerial photographs, centred on TM46185740. The probable pillbox is just visible on one print of July 1940, associated with what appears to be a foundation or area of hard-standing immediately to west (S1). This is also visible on aerial photographs of 1943 but the images are less clear (S2). The tentative pillbox is visible of 1945 photographs, by this time visibly associated with two smaller structures located on the area of hard-standing, centred on TM46175740 (S3). By 1952 all structures have been removed, and the location of the possible pillbox is marked by a square pit (S4).
