Full Description

A possible World War II pillbox or gun emplacement is visible as a structure and earthwork on aerial photographs taken from 1944 onwards, located at TM 28163140 to the south of Landguard Fort on Landguard Point, Felixstowe. The feature consists of a circular mound, roughly 10m in diameter, with a concrete structure visible in the centre. It is likely that the feature has a military function and is an embanked pillbox or gun emplacement. (S1) (S2)
