Full Description
Two structures of uknown date and function are visible on aerial photographs of 1940 to 1941, located circa 50 and 160m to the east of sea bank SUE 087, at circa TM45755208 (S1, S3). Neither structure is marked on the first or second edition Ordnance Survey maps, and the scale of the photographs on which they are visible is such that it is not possible to see them in any great detail (S4, S5). They may be related to marine navigation or the fishing industry in this area or be early World War II defensive military structures, or possibly related to the research station on Orfordness (see ORF 021).
