Full Description
The structural remains of a First World War prisoner-of-war camp are visible as building foundations located on King's Marshes, on aerial photographs of 1942 onwards, centred on circa TM44434972 (S1). German prisoners of war were housed within a wire compound on the Ness, and were used to carry out maintainance on the aerodrome, sea defences and drains throughout the war, until the armistice of 1918.
