Full Description
A low bank is visible as an earthwork within the area of Bush Covert on aerial photographs of 1945, centred on circa TM38704918, Butley parish (S1). It appears to be about 30m long and 5m wide but is within the area of Bush Covert, a tree plantation and may be partially obscured by vegetation. It is in a similar alignment and position to a path marked on both the first and second edition Ordnance Survey maps within the covert (then called Thrift Covert), and may have been part of a system of banks used to define the area of the paths or divisions within the plantation (S2, S3).
