Full Description

February 1991: fieldwalking assessment prior to insertion of water pipeline located relatively continuous scatter of Mesolithic worked flint from TL 7687 7133 merging into Mesolithic scatter CAM 011.

Crosses line of Black Ditches (CAM 001) and Neolithic (?) flint scatter, CAM 022. Mesolithic finds, mostly patinated, include a microlith from TL 7684 7126, 65 flakes, 6 cores, 36 blades and a scraper. Other, unpatinated, flints including some of possible Mesolithic date, see Neo. Also some fire cracked flints (S1 & S2).

Monitoring of soil strip did not produce finds or features.
