Full Description

1991: Metal detecting (and fieldwalking) survey in advance of Fornham by- pass construction, located scatter of metalwork over circa 400m stretch. Metal detected finds listed as:- ?C13 fragment of lead seal matrix; gilt harness mount; 4 jetons (C15-C17), 2 lead tokens (early C16, one Boy Bishop and one Bury issue); 10 coins; a strap end. Also various unnumbered finds (no precise findspots) including buckles, finger rings etc (S1)(S2).
