Full Description

Scatter of matalwork and pottery over an area approximately 200 x 400 yards. Coin group range from Galba to Valentinian, predominately late. Five brooches plus fragments, also a phallic belt mount, needle, nail cleaner, finger ring fragment, acorn-shaped terminal and an octagonal lead weight. Found with metal detector. Information from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) per HDAG 1986 (S1). Surface pottery mainly grey ware including flanged rim bowl. No sign of tile etc. Information from(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) HDAG (S2). Further metalwork (S3).
September 1991: `Material from hill-top now very fragmentary, but small quantity tile not previously seen coming up' (S4).
Also Med coins, ? PMed farm house site.
