Full Description
Aldham Mill. Watermill on River Brett. Shown on Kirby's, Bowen's and Hodskinson's maps (S2)(S3). Construction date unknown. Described in 1960 as `red brick mill has a mansard roof covered with corrugated asbestos. The original machinery has been removed and an electrically driven hammer mill installed. Bears a date 1764' (S4). Ceased work in 1939 (S1).
