Full Description
Blade end of bronze socketed axe, said to come from 'soil from the bed of the River Lark at Flempton Golf Course, at the new reservoir site'(S1). Presumably amongst redeposited soil though the River Lark is circa 300m to north of the golf course boundary. The 'new reservoir' appears to have been bunded on its north side by soil extracted from its creation! It is situated at TL 806 701. Further information about origins of soil needed.
Details and drawings in parish file (S1)(S2).
