Full Description

December 1998: Trenched evaluation located ditches, gullies and pits with a few abraded sherds of Ipswich & Thetford ware. Also 2 sherds IA pottery and 2 undated flint flakes.(S1).
In area of cropmarks adjoining complex SNH 001.
Also one Preh ('IA') unstratified sherd.
Also air photograph assessment during December 1998. Identified possible archaeological ditches and features which equally could be old rivers and creeks associated with the adjacent river. Definite (un-dated) features to the east of this development show that past human activity occurred but features within the survey are too unclear. S2
Subsquent moniotoring of evaluated area in July - October 1999 revealed no features of interest. 3 small med pottery sherds and 2 flint flakes were unstratified in the topsoil. S3
