Full Description
Basil Brown notes, beneath a sketch of the site: "Stephen Hutt's residence and field from which came a Romano-British imitation coin of circa the time of Tetricus. Drawing by S. Hutt, 12th March 1965. Sherds of pottery also found including some Roman and others late Saxon or early Mediaeval." The drawing clearly shows the find at TL 989 791 which corresponds fairly closely with the grid reference on the Ipswich Museum card of TL 990 790 (S1) (S4).
The grid reference on SAU parish card HPN 004 is TL 994 790 but this bears no relationship to site detailed by the finder (S2).
The OS card TL97NE12 gives TL 995 791 (S3).
