A historic asset assessment was carried out for a group of redundant farm buildings at High Wood Farm, prior to their conversion. This group of brick buildings includes a 19th C cart shed, with loose boxes at one end and a hayloft and grain store above. This building has a queen post roof constructed using a number of re-used timbers and it also contains a timber beam of good quality. Also present is another 19th C cartshed, with loose boxes and an implement store at one end. This has a good example of a purlin roof. There is also a 19th C tack room, a 19th C cartshed and cattle shed, a 19th C loose box and implement store and a 20th C timber cart shed. Many of these buildings have been significantly modified through time and the group as a whole is much altered (S1).
