Rom grey wares (including a pedestal base), 4 Samian sherds (forms 31 and 32), a tiny fragment of an Oxford mortarium, 1 sherd of ? Much Hadham ware, 1 shell gritted sherd. Fragments of tegulae, an imbrex fragment and floor tile fragments. 1 piece of lava mill stone and 2 daub fragments (S1).
Further surface & metal detected (?) finds of pottery including Nene Valley barbotine sherd, brooches, coins (range Hadrian AD 119-138 - House of Valantinian AD 367-378)), glass bottle rim, plain finger ring, seal box lid, enamelled and small ?terret ring, found metal detecting (S2)(S3).
May 1993: Two bronze Colchester derivative brooches found metal detecting, to west of site, in St Cross parish, at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S4).
