Full Description

2012: Evaluation trenching for an Anglian Water Pipeline revealed a ditch containing the skeletons of two goats and a single sherd of Middle to Late Iron Age pottery. The ditch runs adjacent to the roadway and it could represent the original roadside ditch. Alternatively it could be a re-cut medieval roadside ditch. The Iron Age pottery may be residual within a later feature (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
