Full Description
2012: Evaluation trenching for an Anglian Water Pipeline revealed six pits and five ditches. Four of the pits were Roman in date and one revealed a large quantity of late 1st to 2nd century pottery. The rest of the features did not reveal any dating evidence and it is likely that some are natural in origin. None of the ditches corresponded to features visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map so it is likely the undated features are of some antiquity (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
