Full Description

AW PIPELINE evaluation trench 184 revealed a single post medieval ditch containing fragments of brick. The ditch measured 0.35m deep and 1.40m wide. A number of modern land drains could be seen crossing the trench. Although no corresponding feature could be seen on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, it is likely that the feature was of an earlier Post Medieval date (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
