Full Description

Evaluation trench revealed a substantial east to west aligned ditch of probable prehistoric date. The ditch was not fully excavated due to the height of the water table c.1.00m below the modern field surface. Augering indicated a total depth of 0.60-0.70m and it was 2.20m wide. No artefacts were recovered but similarities in the fill resemble the features seen in Trench 176 and these features may be connected to them (see RGH 069) (S1).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
