Full Description

This trench identified a single Iron Age ditch a single Roman ditch and a number of undated ditches and pits.
The features in this trench are likely to represent occupation related to the origins and development of the settlement of Battlies Green and it is possible that some of the more ephemeral features present may represent structural evidence. The presence of prehistoric and Roman material may suggest that this area has long been a foci ofoccupation (S1).
