Full Description

2014: Evaluation revealed a single undated ditch and a natural hollow. A single sherd of pottery, probably of Iron Age date, was found in the natural hollow and a single sherd of 12th to 14th century pottery was recovered from the topsoil of the ploughed filed. In addition, several stuck flints were also recovered and demonstrates a background level of prehistoric activity at the site (S1).

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on details of discovery, (S2).

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2014 (S3).
