Full Description
A ditch situated 7m west of the High Street and running parallel to it containing Medieval pottery was identified during evaluation trenching. A large pit, likely to be associated with chalk extraction, was also identified along the road frontage. Pottery from this feature was also medieval in date. Two pieces of Roman tile were also identified (S1). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2014 (S2).
