Full Description
2014: A magnetometer survey identified a large sub-rectangular enclosure containing a possible kiln or brick built structure and two possible quarry pits. The enclosure correlates with a field depicted on the 1842 tithe map of Elmswell, although it is possible that the feature is of earlier origin and fossilized into the 19th century landscape (S1). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2014 (S2).
