Full Description
May 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
A double-ditched enclosure and probably associated boundary ditches and trackways, all of unknown date, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3). The morphology of the enclosure, and the orientation of the cropmarks at an angle to that of the modern field boundaries, indicates that a Bronze Age to Roman date for them is plausible, although by no means certain. Vague cropmarks are also visible on S4.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 15th May 2015.
