Full Description

2019: Archaeological trial trench evaluation revealed archaeological features of Roman and Post Medieval date. The Roman period was represented by ditches and pits from which pottery was recovered form the fills, dating the features primarily to the late 3rd to 4th Centuries AD. This indicated a continuation from the features found in the adjacent archaeological excavation. The post medieval periods was represented mostly by pits and ditches containing post medieval pottery and CBM. (S1)

Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2019 (S2).
