Full Description
Three one metre evaluation trenches were located over an existing ditch and a former hedge, which had been grubbed out. The trenched identified flint and bricks of possible foundations and an area of burning. The ditch cut, fill and spoil was located, however no former earlier layers were observed. Finds which were recovered were not in situ but conformed Roman occupation in the form of brick, tile, opus signinum, tesserae and pottery. (S1).
