Full Description
Concentrated scatter of occupation debris including pottery, worked flint and stone, burnt flint and split bones, over sand ridges in area of hummock and hollow micro-relief. Finds between 1965-1987 by C Pendleton and Patrick Norman on ploughsoil surface. BA material includes barbed and tanged arrowheads (A15, A36, A83, A141, A155 & possible blank, A8), transverse/ triangular type arrowheads (A128, A148), mixed worked flints including scrapers and plano- convex knives (I42, I67), a stone polisher (possibly Neo)(K59), and pottery including Beaker and finger nail impressed sherds (S4). Also tip of flint dagger, patinated off-white, from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) approximately (P Norman A29).
