Full Description
Pottery, large spindle whorl or small loom weight, flint flakes and scrapers, probably Bronze Age, found in black layer during construction of Bomb Dump. Reported by Col T C Kelly, USAF, Mildenhall (S1, S2, S3).
Cited grid reference TL 689 786 (S1,S2,S3) is not situated on Bomb Dump site and must be incorrect. Bomb Dump centres on TL 687 791, findspot must lie within boundaries which extend to a maximum of 400 metres to SW and NE and only 100 metres to NW and SE (Colin Pendleton 15/09/1987)
