Monitoring of footing trenches located a group of post medieval pits close to the road frontage and a series of large pits set back from the road.

Evaluation prior to development, revealed a single undated ditch type feature and a small number of medieval pottery sherds from the topsoil.

Evaluation identified evidence of early post-medieval acyivity and later features including a wall, rubbish pits and demolition layers which may be associated with and earlier stable complex.

Evaluation revealed a brick wall, probably part of a C19th stable, and a brick-lined culvert of C18/19th date and 2 adjacent pits of probable prehistoric date.

Evaluation revealed four postholes and three possible pits, as well as a further possible posthole, all sealed by an undated soil layer.

Two visits made to observe foundation trench - a small quantity of pottery C12-14 coarseware and C15-C16 glazed red earthenware, peg tile (Pmed) and clay pipe was found residually occurring in a garden soil deposit.

Monitoring located a large ditch fronting School Lane. The ditch was probably part of the a circuit that followed the inside edge of the roads.

Following geophysical survey and evaluation identified a single ditch of post-medieval date.
