Fieldwalking survey located multiperiod pottery scatter.

Archaeological evaluation revealed a multi-period site, with features dating to the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, the Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval.

Multi-period activity was recoded during an archaeological excavation including Mesolithic flint tools, Neolithic pits and ditches and a possible Iron Age roundhouse.
