Full Description
2003: Monitoring revealed seven sherds of unstratified medieval pottery found in buried topsoil. The site was formerly gardens of adjacent Waveney House as shown on 1880s Ordnance Survey map - it seems likely that this lower layer of topsoil relates to this earlier garden, while the upper layer, which contained modern building debris, is a result of landscaping associated with existing buildings (S1).
