Full Description

Socketed axe (of Ewart Park date) with fragment of Hallstatt C sword blade found inside (S1).
Interpreted as Gundlingen sword fragment (of Halstatt C) by Burgess. For fuller discussion see (S2) & drawings.
In Ipswich Museum (L.966-5) in 1979 (S2). Unlocated by 1993 (Taylor R.J., Hoards of the BA in Southern Britain). Apparently returned to (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) in 1988 (IPSMG, February 2003).
Possibly related to ingot found circa 700 yards away - see BOY 007.
