Full Description

Large scatter of Roman finds found in West half of field between 1952 and 1962 (S1,S2,S5). Finds in MIHLM.

Circa 1977 and later: Scatter of Roman pottery, coins (C3 & C4), finger rings, brooch(es), etc., found fieldwalking and metal detecting

Main concentration in West half of field, although thin scatter also in East half (S3).

1987: Fenland survey confirmed pottery scatter as above, details not yet available (S4).

TL 690788. A large spread of Romano-British potsherds, including colour-coated and Samian ware, nails, tiles, bricks, horns and oyster shells were found between 1952 and 1962. These finds may represent a substantial building, (S6, S5, S2).
