Monument record KSS 092 - Possible Romano-British field system

Please read our .

Summary

Linear ditches and possible enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, on land to the east of Coopers Lane, Kessingland. A Roman date has been suggested for the possible villa complex to the west (SHER KSS 090), and therefore it is possible that these features are also Roman in date, although they are visible on 1st edition Ordnance Survey maps of the area, and therefore may be medieval to post medieval in date.
