Quern fragments, ? date, found 1960 by G P Morris. Formerly recorded as SUP MISC

An archaeological investigation revealed three undated archaeological features along the NW edge of the site. A. flint scraper recovered from the base of the topsoil indicates a prehistoric, possibly Bronze Age, presence in the area.

Salt extraction debris - clay briquetage, red soil, pot sherds.

Metal detector finds from mainly Med site, include butt of flat or flanged axe (not palstave). Circa 19mm surviving length, 30mm wide, 9mm thick.

Monitoring revealed the truncated brick foundations of part of a post-medieval cellared building and an adjoining rectangular brick structure, possibly the lining of a cess pit or a tank with an industrial function

Pottery from salt-working site.

Pit, diameter 4 feet x 4 feet 6 inches, depth about 2 feet, excavated by Grace Briscoe after discovered by deep ploughing in 1958.

1964: "human remains found during building work in Quinton Road, Needham" - 3 skulls plus other bones, not sure if they were articulated or not, apparently close to road edge.
